PM Simulator

Introduction: Patient monitors measure, record, distribute, and display combinations of biometric values such as heart rate, SPO2, blood pressure, temperature, and more. High- capability, multi-function monitors are typically used in hospitals and clinics to ensure a high level of quality patient care. Portable patient monitors are designed to be compact and power efficient. This allows them to be used in remote areas or by paramedics to aid diagnosis in the field, enabling monitoring and transmitting data to healthcare providers in other locations. To meet the demands faced by designers of patient monitors, we offer a broad portfolio of highly integrated microcontrollers (MCUs), graphics technology, software libraries, and connectivity solutions. This broad offering enables innovation in the design of stand-alone biometric devices such as blood pressure monitors, pulse oximeters, ECG/EKG, and other products. Our solutions support patient monitoring functions like low-noise analog signal conditioning, touch-sensing technology, LCD control, wired and wireless connectivity, motor control, and high-speed memory. We use the patient monitor simulator to test the function of the patients’ vital signs [1].

Major testing: Patient monitor simulator is a test equipment used to check the physiological parameters of Vital Signs such as: 1- SpO2 2- ECG signal 3-Blood pressure cuff 4-NIBP 5-IBP This document mentions the process of connection, the pressure test, and the SpO2 test.

Pressure Tests: It is composed of 4 main tests: - Pressure Leak Test The leak test detects leaks in a non-invasive blood pressure cuff, by connect the monitor's hoses, and the pressure cuff.[2]

- Pressure Relief Test The pressure relief test pressurizes a pneumatic system until the Product detects a pressure drop, which occurs when the relief valve opens. Alternatively, if the pressure reaches the target pressure and no relief is detected, the test is terminated.[2]

- Pressure Source Test The pressure source test is performed to pressurize a pneumatic system while it is operating. A pressure gauge The pressure source test can be used to determine static electricity.Non-invasive blood pressure measurement system calibration .checks for sphygmomanometers and other pressure-measuring devices.[2]

- Manometer test The manometer function transforms the Product into a pressure gauge that can be used to detect pressure from an external source.[2]
